  • Paneer, Crumbled: 200 grams
  • 2 medium-sized potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • Bread crumbs: 1/4 cup
  •  Chopped coriander leaves: 1/4 cup
  • green chili, finely chopped: A number
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 tablespoon
  • Masala powder: 1/2 tablespoon
  • Salt: As Per requirement
  • Oil: As Per Requirment

For Gravy:

  • Chopped Onion: 2 Large
  • Chopped Tomatoes: 2 Large
  • Ginger-garlic paste: 1 Tablespoon
  • Cumin seeds: 1 Tablespoon
  • Coriander powder: 1 Tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder: 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Red chili powder: 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Masala powder: 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Sal: As per Requirement
  • Oil: 2 Tablespoon
  • Cream: 1/4 cup
  • Chopped coriander leaves for garnish: 1/4 cup

How to Make Paneer Kofta: Instructions

  1. Combine the crumbled paneer, mashed potatoes, bread crumbs, chopped coriander, green chilies, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt in a bowl to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead the dough into equal-sized pieces, and then divide them into small cubes. Place the paneer cubes in a deep pot and cook over high heat until slightly browned. Remove the paneer to a plate using a slotted spoon, and set the paneer aside.
  3. To warm up the oil in a pan, whisk together cumin seeds. When the seeds start to crackle, add the chopped onions and browned and sauté until tender.
  4. Sauté minced garlic with ginger pepper for 1 to 2 minutes before the raw smell goes away.
  5. Peel the tomatoes and chop them. Splurge on the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Stir and roast with a gas burner until golden brown and soft.
  6. Turn off the pan and let the mixture sit for a few minutes. After it has cooled, place the mixture into a blender and puree until smooth.

  8. Reduce the quantity of heat and add cream. Mix well and simmer for two to three minutes.
  9. Gently integrate the paneer koftas into the gravy, cover the pan, and simmer for 2 to 3 minutes more.
  10. Garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice, naan, or roti.
